Error message: The string value in the property buyer field is too large for the data file.
You may receive the following message when you enter a sale:
The string value in the property buyer field is too large for the data file.
Solution:
This message appears because the buyer name for the field is too long. To fix this:
- Identify the field you’re selling the crop from.
- Select Setup>Fields. The Fields dialogue box appears.
- Select the field and click the Edit icon.
- Select the Buyers tab and delete the applicable buyer.
- Select Setup>Contact List to open your contact lists.
- Select the buyer, click the Edit icon and enter a shorter name in the Name field.
- Return to the Fields dialogue box and reselect the buyer with the shortened name.
- Enter the sale.
